YW-Teens Program

YW-Teens serves middle schools in the Pajaro Valley Unified School District.

It is a structured program offered to 7th and 8th grade girls during their after school program for the entire school year. This prevention program uses two evidence based curricula, Program M and ¡Cuidate!, as a framework for middle school girls facilitated discussions surrounding gender inequality and many other topics. We ensure that all sessions are culturally and developmentally appropriate.

YW-Teens has various topics discussed such as HIV, gender, cultural values, identity and relationships, drugs, violence, and sexual reproductive rights and health. Through discussing these topics self-esteem is increased and services available in the community are shared. Connect With Us for more information.
